Why I Produced This St Lucia Weather in February Review
Whenever I’m traveling to any place I am always concerned about what the weather will be and how this will affect my stay and any activities I have planned. So for your trip to St Lucia I can only imagine that what you can expect of St Lucia weather in February will be top of mind for you. With this in mind I created this report that you might have first hand information from someone who lives on the island.
And while nothing can ever be guaranteed with the weather, this report lays out exactly what you can expect based on over 10 years of data that I have collected and dissected.
And I’d love your thoughts on how helpful this weather article was, and also anything else you think I should cover to make the information even more welcome for you.
something as special as This St Lucia Weather in February overview is based on 12 years of data from the Saint Lucia Meteorological Office (2005 – 2016) as well as my personal observation of St Lucia’s weather. As a photographer I am acutely aware of the weather since 95% of my photography is produced outdoors. I have created a weather review like this for each month of the year and I hope that you find it an invaluable guide as you plan your Saint Lucia vacation and you ask that burning question: “What will the weather in St Lucia be like when I get down there???”

St Lucia Weather in February
St Lucia weather in February is the perfect experience to escape to if you live in much colder climes. Just imagine the lure of our beautiful sunshine compared to the thought of 3 or more feet of snow in your driveway! YES – you’d much rather be in St Lucia and of course you’re thinking so what will the weather be like down there during your stay.
St Lucia February Temperatures
In terms of low temperatures February enjoys the lowest temperatures in the year with an average low of 23.4° C / 74° F and an average high temperature of 29° C / 84 ° F. These figures are almost identical to St Lucia weather in January and the weather statistics from the St Lucia Met Services show that January and February are the coolest months of the year in Saint Lucia.
St Lucia February Sunshine
February enjoys an average of about 8.75 hours of daily sunshine with the days getting progressively longer by about 20 minutes from the beginning of the month to the end of the month during 2016. At the start of the month the sun rose around 6:30 AM and set around 6:00 PM. By the end of the month the sun was rising 10 minutes earlier and setting 10 minutes later.
St Lucia Weather in February – Rainfall
February is the month with the least rainfall in St Lucia, helped in part by the fact that it is the shortest month of the year. However when we consider St Lucia weather in March the rainfall figures are near identical with an average of 1.82 inches per day in February compared to 1.83 inches per day in March.
Thinking back to St Lucia weather in January, and even further back to December the data shows these to be the two months with the lowest temperature through out the year. Then for St Lucia weather in March and even the weather in February we see that these are the two driest months of the year.
The average monthly rainfall in February is 51.5 inches while October, the month with the highest average rainfall sits at 211 inches or four times as much rain. As a result of such low rainfall by the time February is coming to a close the hillsides are starting to loose their lush greenest assuming instead more of dullish green hue.
Fun Things To Do In St Lucia
Despite this reduced vibrance on the hills the island is still stunningly beautiful, especially when viewed from the ocean and for this reason I always suggest taking in a boat trip during your stay.

General Weather Overview
St Lucia generally enjoys cooling breezes from the North East Trade Winds that originate off the African coast. These winds can carry dust from dust storms over the Sahara Desert and the dust can sometimes be seen as a light haze over the distant hillsides and also on the horizon over the ocean which may be ill-defined due to the dust. However the dust is so fine that you may not notice it and it won’t affect the quality of your vacation in the least bit.
Overall though when thinking of St Lucia weather in February this is a great time to visit St Lucia, especially for a respite from a bitterly cold winter and with the added warmth and friendliness of the people you can’t help but have a grand time.
