Rodney Bay Marina

Rodney Bay Marina

Got a request the other day for aerial shots of the
Baywalk Mall and simply couldn’t resist shooting
some pics of Rodney Bay Marina.  This marina was
created in 1986 by California entrepreneur Archie
Marez…

With over 200 berths it was a popular port of call
for yachts south of Antigua.  After Archie’s death
in 2005 Rodney Bay Marina was sold to IGY –
International Global Yachting, a company that has
taken the marina to a whole new level…

Today Rodney Bay Marina can accommodate some
250+ vessels, including mega yachts the likes of
which you’d expect to find in places like the
Mediterranean…

This marina boasts a host of quaint little shops
and restaurants, a well equipped ships’ chandlery,
banking, shore based excursions and in December
comes alive with the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC)

Rodney Bay Marina is a great place to come down
and chill… Soak up the sights and sounds of the
laid back yachtie life.  Grab a pizza or some ice
cream…

Or simply hang out on the deck outside the Bread
Basket.  Ask for Nick or Carmen and you’ll be sure
to discover the history of this unique slice of St Lucia
as they’ve been here since the marina opened for
business way back when…
