From St Lucia With Love
From St Lucia With Love is a series of 14 signed Kirk Elliott prints available for purchase in multiple sizes printed on canvas, aluminum or acrylic. The prints depict various points of interest across Saint Lucia taken of a course of nearly 20 years as of 2023 when the series was launched. While Kirk has produced work for presidents and princes, prime ministers and governor generals and for so many others in between, he is best known for creating stunning landscapes that leave you wondering – “How did he manage to capture that!”
The Story Behind The Series
In 2022 Kirk started a webinar series called I Am Lucian in which he explores: What is the essence of being Lucian and how might we tap into this essence to help us become the best that we can be. The series ran for 12 months with one episode per month. Each month Kirk would introduce two new panelists and among themselves they would explore the topic of the month.
One session saw principals from two schools from opposite ends of the island sharing stories of both their trials and triumph nurturing and developing our citizens of tomorrow. Attendees also got to learn of Kirk’s work supporting these schools by inviting visitors who booked his services and excursions to lend a helping hand. Kirk announced a plan to assist one of the schools to build a playground and one of the attendees volunteered to set up a gofundme to assist in financing the project.
But we quickly realized that school support is an ongoing endeavour rather than just a one off undertaking. And so in part was born the idea of the From St Lucia With Love Print Series. The idea is that Kirk is bringing purchasers some love from Saint Lucia and getting back love in return in the form of payment. This love is then shared with his schools’ support program.
25% of Profits Go To Supporting The Giving Forward Project
Kirk has earmarked 25% of the profits earned from direct sales of prints for the Giving Forward Project. He has set up the Hibiscus Project non-profit to handle this philanthropic schools’ project to ensure transparency and accountability.
